Chennai, July 13 (UNI) Hailing the performance of Opposition INDIA alliance, which is leading in 11

of the 13 seats in the Assembly bypolls held across the country, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and DMK President M K Stalin on Saturday said the BJP should learn lessons from this loss and realise that it could not run the party and the government without respecting the sentiments of the States.

In a statement after DMK's massive win in the Vikravandi Assembly bypoll, he said the candidates of the INDIA alliance are leading in 11 of the 13 seats in Assembly bypolls held in various states.

As far as Tamil Nadu is concerned the victory march of the DMK-led INDIA alliance in the State is continuing since 2019, he asserted.

The BJP has suffered a big loss in this bye-elections, he said.

The losing streak of the BJP, which had not secured a majority on its own (in the recent Lok Sabha polls) but managed to form a government at the Centre with the help of its alliance partners, was continuing in this bypolls also, Mr Stalin said.

"The BJP should learn lessons from this loss... At least now it should realise it could not run the government and the party without respecting the sentiments of the State", he added.
